PTSO Officers
Mission Statement:
“The mission of this organization shall be to promote the general welfare
of all school children, to assist the staff in providing higher education
for school children, and to foster communications between the
administration and PTSO as well as parental involvement.”
Article 5: Officers and Duties
- PTSO officers shall be (1) President, (1) Vice President, (1) Secretary, (2) Students, and (1) Trustee.
President:
The President shall remain impartial, attend School Board meetings, serve as the chief executive of the organization, appoint committee chairpersons, work cooperatively with the school administrator, school board members, staff, and parents in providing the services to achieve the PTSO mission statement. The President or designee will call all special meetings, shall act as the deciding vote in the case of any tie votes, will approve all expenditures, will sign all invoices, and appoint any interim officers as needed.

President
Family ties: has one child attending Countryside Academy.
Child(ren) stats: Anthony is in 3rd grade.
History: Is a graduate of Berrien Springs high school and works as a human resource manager for a large security company.
Interest: I think Halloween should be a holiday. I also enjoy spending time with Anthony and his friends as well as gardening and hanging out with my friends.

Vice President:
Shall act as an aide to the President and assume the duties of the President when required. The Vice President or designee will follow up with all committee chairpersons and update the President for agenda purposes.

Must keep an accurate record of all accounts payable and receivable, will keep up to date accounts of all journals for all PTSO committee money, will present required monthly statements at each PTSO monthly meeting. The Treasurer will present end of the year financial summary in the May meetings of each school year and will work cooperatively with the business office in obtaining and necessary information to complete their duties as well as identifying and discussing any discrepancies in their journals and is responsible for coordinating PTSO transactions.

Jessica Marquardt
Secretary
Family ties: Jessica and David Marquardt have two children enrolled at Countryside Academy.
Child(ren) stats: Jeremy is in 5th grade and Allen is in 3rd grade class at the Meadowbrook campus.
History: Jessica is a graduate of St. Joseph High School.
Interest: Jessica enjoys spending time with family, gardening, nature walks and crafting.

Secretary:
Shall keep an accurate record of each meeting to be available at the following meeting and act as an aide to the Vice President in assuming the duties of the Vice President. The Secretary shall post the minutes in a central campus location, provide copies to the business office, School Board Members, and PTSO officers within 1 week of each meeting unless otherwise stated by the officers. Secretary will hold copies of (1) By-Laws, (1) Robert’s Rules of Order, and minutes for 1 full year at each PTSO meeting. Necessary correspondence shall be the duty of the secretary.

This is an optional position whose duties are to assist PTSO officers. There are two Trustee positions.

Treasurer
Family ties: Susie & Tim have two children, one enrolled at Countryside.
Child(ren) stats:Our son Timothy lives in Round Rock, Texas and our daughter
History:I teach Sunday School and lead the Youth Group at St. Peter's Church
